Key Responsibilities Supporting Lead Teachers: Assist in creating and maintaining a safe, warm, and inviting classroom environment that is clean and organized. Family Engagement: Communicate daily with families regarding student progress or needs to foster partnership and support. Building Relationships: Encourage parent and community engagement by developing strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Quality Care: Maintain a high-quality standard of care for every child by adhering to all minimum licensing, quality rated, and/or accreditation guidelines and company standards. Nourishment and Nutrition: Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, ensuring their nutritional needs are met. Curriculum Implementation: Utilize and adhere to the assigned classroom's daily schedule, incorporating our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities to create a fun and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's developmental needs. Record Keeping: Assist with maintaining daily records including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other records required by local agencies. Team Collaboration: Contribute to your center's success by partnering with team members and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement. Essential Qualifications and Skills To excel as an Assistant Teacher at Childcare Network, you should possess: Genuine Warmth and Understanding: A natural ability to connect with young children and their families, providing a nurturing and supportive environment. Positive Attitude: A commitment to innovation and creativity in early childhood education. Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication with coworkers, parents, and children is crucial. Educational Background: A HS Diploma or GED is required. Background Check: Must pass the state-required criminal background check. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, having experience in early childhood education and a background in child development can be advantageous.
