Key Responsibilities As an Amazon Houston Operations Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities related to inventory control and waste management. Your key responsibilities will include: Cleaning up affected areas and contaminated products in the event of a spill or other incident Reconciling inventory and sorting liquidation/waste Maintaining and organizing the waste management area Salvaging and prepping inventory for resale Conducting research, audits, and cycle counts to identify trends and areas for improvement Handling and processing waste in accordance with RCRA, DOT, and OSHA regulations Presenting data to local leadership and the retail team to reduce inventory losses Developing and implementing data collection processes and data management systems Designing queries, compiling data, and generating reports in MS Excel Implementing, conducting, and administering waste training programs Analyzing and determining root cause of inventory adjustments and providing daily feedback to process owners Communicating with corporate retail teams on vendor compliance issues and spill reports Overseeing the liquidation and waste process and consistently logging data Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in inventory control and waste management, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
