Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated early-career Accountant to join our Finance team. This entry level role is ideal for an analytical and tech savvy accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys applyingtheir detail-oriented skills to support the financial accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable process. Responsibilities • Process and manage accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner. • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and internal policies. • Assist with monthly close activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting. • Support audit requests and documentation as needed. • Maintain accuracy of financial data within NetSuite ERP system. • Build, maintain, and optimize complex Excel spreadsheets to support reconciliations, reporting, and analysis. • Collaborate with colleagues across Finance and other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of accounting experience, including accounts payable and journal entry preparation. • Experience working in NetSuite or similar ERP system. • Exposure to 12 financial audits as a contributing team member. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis). • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid schedule (2 days per week in Bethesda office). • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management. • Prior experience in process improvement initiatives is desirable. • Experience with physical Inventory and Cost of Goods Sold is a plus. • Must be experienced with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook) and Windows PC. Compensation Range: The base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 per year plus an annual bonus plan. The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, such as the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, education, location, and market conditions.
