About the Actuarial Improvement Program The Actuarial Improvement Program is a comprehensive program that provides participants with the training, support, and resources they need to succeed in the actuarial field. The program is designed to accelerate your development and provide you with a balanced experience that includes both technical and business skills. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including risk evaluation, rate recording, reserve analysis, and planning and pricing. You will also have the chance to develop your technical skills, including proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, Python, and R. Key Responsibilities Risk Evaluation: Understand the concept of specific risks and provide results of analysis to management Rate Recording: Organize and analyze rating information, prepare and submit necessary presentations for regulatory filings Reserve Analysis: Analyze claim data and monitor reserve levels for adequacy, demonstrate an understanding of actuarial reserving methods and issues Planning and Pricing: Provide technical support and analysis for planning, pricing, and reporting processes Pricing, Trend, and Benefit Design: Create and recommend pricing and trend for products or benefits Technical Capability: Develop innovative technical solutions to various problems, demonstrate proficiency with spreadsheets and knowledge of database and online applications Migration: arenaflex follows a hybrid work model, giving office-based associates the ability to flex between working in the office and working from home based on the work you need to accomplish Work visa sponsorship is available for this position, including participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs Required Qualifications Meet educational requirements Be willing to relocate to a designated Actuarial hub Preferred Qualifications Entry-level position or work experience supporting Actuarial functions of an organization or business unit Demonstrated leadership experience, such as active roles in student or community organization activities, or sports Strong written communication skills Experience with statistical or coding software, such as SAS, Python, Excel, VBA, SQL, or R Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Support collaboration and a positive atmosphere to enhance team effectiveness Able to adapt quickly and effectively to change Career Growth Opportunities At arenaflex, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
