Information Technology Support Specialist

They are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide technical support across multiple locations, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems while offering hands-on experience and training opportunities. Responsibilities Provide on-site technical support to users at various Achieva locations Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues Set up and configure workstations, peripherals, and related equipment Install, update, and maintain software applications Perform basic network troubleshooting as needed Document service activities and maintain accurate technical records Communicate clearly with staff to assess needs and resolve technical concerns Provide excellent customer service in all interactions Perform other duties as assigned --- job responsibilities may evolve based on organizational needs Extensive travel (approximately 50% of work time) to Achieva sites throughout Westmoreland and Allegheny counties; mileage is reimbursable Skills Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities CompTIA A+ certification (or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months) Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Comfort with frequent travel and flexible work hours Must meet Act 33/34 and FBI clearance requirements Valid PA driver's license and properly insured automobile for daily use Associate's Degree in IT or related field Benefits Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance with low employee contributions Company-Paid Life, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability Insurance 403(b) Retirement Plan with employer contributions after one year Employee Assistance Program for personal and family support Generous Paid Time Off and holidays Hybrid work opportunities Certification and professional development opportunities Travel reimbursement Company Overview Achieva is a community-led charitable organization that works to provide housing, employment, and caring services for individuals.
