Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with strong design build expertise in industrial electrical work. This is not a back-office role. We need someone who can hunt, win, and deliver: from conceptual budgeting and client engagement through buyout, execution, and closeout of large, technically complex projects. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in a boardroom, on a jobsite, or in a preconstruction huddle, and thrives in a fast-moving, high-performance environment. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership · Lead all phases of large, design-build industrial electrical projects, including initiation, budgeting, procurement, execution, and closeout · Establish clear work scopes, expectations, and deliverables for internal teams and subcontractors · Drive accuracy and accountability in forecasting, financial performance, and schedule adherence Preconstruction and Design Build · Prepare conceptual budgets and detailed estimates using Accubid Anywhere · Lead design coordination efforts, collaborating closely with clients, engineers, and field teams to translate concepts into executable plans · Draft accurate and articulate scope letters that define the work and protect the company’s commercial interests Client Engagement · Serve as a key point of contact for clients, building relationships, understanding project drivers, and ensuring alignment throughout the lifecycle · Represent OEC with professionalism and technical authority in pursuit, proposal, and progress meetings Team Development and Oversight · Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams including superintendents, engineers, and coordinators · Foster a culture of accountability, proactive problem solving, and continuous improvement Qualifications · Ten or more years of progressive project management experience in industrial or large commercial electrical construction · Proven design build project experience with a track record of successful cradle to grave delivery · Proficiency in Accubid Anywhere for estimating · Working knowledge of AutoCAD and strong competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) · Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage complex client relationships · Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate technical details into clear scopes, budgets, and presentations · Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred Why Owen Electric Company · Opportunity to lead marquee industrial projects across the Southeast · High performance culture with strong field support and leadership alignment · Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits · A growth environment where your leadership directly impacts the company’s trajectory Ready to lead?
