Elasticsearch Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Elasticsearch specialist to join our small but growing startup team.In this role, you will be responsible for:Managing and optimizing our Elasticsearch instance, ensuring high performance and reliability of our search functionalityLeveraging Elasticsearch's AI/ML capabilities, such as vector embeddings, to help integrate large language models and AI agents into our backendCollaborating with the engineering team to build out our real estate search and recommendation features powered by Elasticsearch and AIProviding technical expertise and troubleshooting support for any Elasticsearch-related issues that ariseThe ideal candidate will have:Extensive experience with Elasticsearch, including deep knowledge of its configuration, querying, and optimizationStrong background in AI/ML, with the ability to explore and implement Elasticsearch's advanced capabilitiesExperience as an SRE (Site Reliability Engineer), with strong skills in infrastructure reliability, observability, and DevOps practicesOR solid experience with Ruby on Rails developmentIdeally, a combination of SRE and Ruby on Rails knowledge is preferred, but we are open to candidates who specialize strongly in one of the two areasA problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environmentExcellent communication skills to collaborate cross-functionallyThis is a unique opportunity to make a big impact at a growing startup.
