Location: San Diego County, CA (Hybrid – Mostly Remote)

About the Role
We’re hiring an E-Commerce Bookkeeper & Client Success Lead to handle monthly bookkeeping for e-commerce clients and serve as the quality-control lead for our team.
This role requires extensive e-commerce bookkeeping experience, sales tax expertise (reporting, filing, compliance across multiple states), and fluency with integration apps like A2X and Bookkeep. You’ll manage ongoing books, review the Senior Bookkeeper’s work, and provide accurate insights to the CEO. Cleanup experience is a huge plus, but your main focus will be ongoing account management.
We work exclusively in QuickBooks Online, so you must have strong QBO experience. On occasion, you may assist with QuickBooks Desktop during migrations.
You must live in San Diego County, California. Most work is remote, but you’ll attend in-person onboarding and occasional meetings in North County San Diego.
What You’ll Do
• Manage monthly bookkeeping for e-commerce clients in QuickBooks Online
• Handle sales tax reporting, filing, and compliance
• Review another bookkeeper’s work for accuracy and compliance
• Spot errors and troubleshoot accounting issues
• Prepare monthly reports and summaries for the CEO
• Join Zoom meetings and gradually take on client-facing responsibilities
What We’re Looking For
• Must live in San Diego County, CA
• QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification
• Extensive e-commerce bookkeeping experience
• Strong sales tax expertise
• Experience with A2X, Bookkeep, and other e-commerce integration apps required
• 4+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Ability to review another bookkeeper’s work for accuracy and compliance
• Must be fully comfortable working in QuickBooks Online (Desktop experience is a bonus for migrations only)
• Cleanup experience is a plus, not required
Schedule & Pay
• 5–10 hours/week to start, with potential for quick growth
• Remote with occasional in-person meetings/events
• Hourly pay, commensurate with experience
