SUMMARY: The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen in the resort’s high-occupancy restaurant. This position is responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring that all items are properly sanitized and ready for use.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to:
• Operate dishwashing machines and clean kitchen tools, plates, glasses, and utensils according to sanitation standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness of dishwashing areas, ensuring proper organization of clean and dirty dishes.
• Assist in keeping kitchen workstations clean, including sweeping, mopping, and removing trash as needed.
• Monitor and refill cleaning supplies and dishwashing chemicals as required.
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure a steady supply of clean cookware and service items.
• Assist with basic food prep or kitchen tasks as directed by the kitchen team.
• Assist with the delivery and restocking of restaurant goods.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices.
• Uphold Hospitality Standards, Company Culture, Department Core Standards and observe Company policies and procedures.
• Be the “End of the Line” and resolve every situation inherited, not passing it along, whenever possible.
• Strive to close the loop (alleviate or eliminate issues) on any situations that cannot be fully resolved.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with all contacts, always being helpful and courteous.
• Always adhere to Company appearance standards, and wear name badge when required.
• Attend and participate in company-wide training sessions and department staff meetings.

MARGINAL DUTIES: Functions that are not considered essential to the job:
• Assist in the breakdown and deep cleaning of kitchen equipment as scheduled.
• Help with receiving and organizing deliveries of kitchen supplies when needed.
• Assist with set-up and breakdown of furniture and equipment within the restaurant perimeters.
• Respond promptly to all email and voicemail correspondence.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Prior experience as a dishwasher or kitchen support role preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a hot, humid environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The environmental conditions the employee will have exposure to:
• Pets and pet dander in and around the pet friendly resort.
• Close quarters between 1/3 and 2/3 of the time.
• Outdoor weather conditions such as sun, ice, snow, wind, dust, rain and humidity under 1/3 of the time.
• Moderate noise.
