Job Summary

As a Director, Data Science at Workwarp, you'll play a critical role in driving the next generation of innovations in credit risk models. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to solve business problems, accelerate work streams to enhance models, and incorporate best-in-class machine learning in risk models. You'll develop and lead predictive models for credit risk assessment, interact with business partners to integrate models with business decisions, and plan and deliver high-performing models that meet deadlines and ensure accurate and efficient implementation of models in production systems.

Key Responsibilities:


Develop and implement credit risk models using large datasets and machine learning algorithms
Drive the next generation of innovations in credit risk models and interact with cross-functional teams to solve business problems
Accelerate work streams to enhance models and incorporate best-in-class machine learning in risk models
Develop and lead predictive models for credit risk assessment and interact with business partners to integrate models with business decisions
Plan and deliver high-performing models, meeting deadlines, and ensuring accurate and efficient implementation of models in production systems
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, conducting research and development to incorporate best-in-class modeling methodologies and share with the team


Essential Qualifications:


Master's degree in Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
2 years of experience developing and implementing credit risk models using large datasets in a Financial Services company
Experience with machine learning algorithm development and big data platform and its applications
Experience with statistical and data mining techniques, including regression analysis and Machine Learning tools for pattern recognition and predictive analytics
Experience with thinking strategically and applying both quantitative methods and business insights to drive results
Experience with relationship management and collaborating and partnering with key business partners
Experience with articulating complex theories, concepts, methodologies, and findings
Experience with Hadoop, Pig, Hive, Spark, SAS, R, Python, and SQL


Preferred Qualifications:


Ph.D. in Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience with cloud-based technologies and architectures
Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
Experience with data visualization tools and techniques

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $225,000 annually, depending on experience and location. Our benefits package includes:
