Director, Product DevelopmentWhat You'll DoAs Vaniam Group continues to grow and evolve our service offerings, the Director of Product Development will play a high-impact, cross-functional role for a strategic thinker and doer who can own a portfolio of products from concept to delivery β bridging the worlds of business strategy, client needs, and technical execution. You will serve as the connective tissue between our business leaders and technical and delivery teams β defining vision, driving roadmaps, and making sure the right things get built at the right time. This is an individual contributor role to start, with a clear path to build and lead a team as the function matures.A Day in the LifeDeliverablesDefine and own the product vision and roadmap for Vaniam Groupβs product portfolio, aligned to business strategy and client needsBuild and maintain detailed, prioritized product roadmaps that balance short-term client commitments with long-term product investmentDefine product requirements, user stories, and success criteria in partnership with business stakeholders and technical leadsDrive cross-functional delivery by working closely with technology, creative, scientific, and operations teams to ensure on-time, high-quality releasesMonitor product performance post-launch and use data and client feedback to inform iteration and improvementWork with Sales, Client Services, and Leadership to ensure Vaniam Intelligence capabilities are included in SOWs and review proposed elements for alignment with pricing and client valueInternal ResponsibilityServe as the primary product liaison between business development, client services, and technical delivery teamsFacilitate alignment sessions, roadmap reviews, and product steering conversations with senior leaders and key clientsCommunicate product status, risks, and decisions clearly and proactively to all stakeholdersEstablish and continuously refine product development processes, frameworks, and tools that support a growing teamIntroduce best practices in product management adapted for the unique context of a traditional service-led environmentIdentify and implement ways to increase speed, quality, and consistency of product deliveryLay the groundwork for scaling the Product Development function, including potential future team buildingBusiness DevelopmentConduct market research, competitive analysis, and client discovery to identify opportunities for new or evolved products and servicesPartner with senior leadership to prioritize investments and ensure the product portfolio delivers measurable business valueTranslate complex, ambiguous business problems into clear product direction and executable plansChampion a client-centric, outcomes-focused mindset across the organizationOther duties may be assigned to help drive deliverables within this role.What You Must HaveEducation and Experience7+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, or a closely related functionDemonstrated ability to own and drive a product roadmap from vision through delivery in a complex, multi-stakeholder environmentStrong background working at the intersection of business strategy and technical delivery β comfortable speaking both languages fluentlyExperience working with or within healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or medical communications organizationsProven ability to influence without authority, building alignment across diverse teams and seniority levelsExceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts clearly to executive audiencesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfort with ambiguity and the ability to create structure where little existsSkills and CompetenciesAbility to communicate clearly and work collaboratively in a dynamic, virtual environmentStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally at all levels within the organization and with clientsFlexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentResults-oriented with a commitment to accountabilityExcellent problem-solving skills including the ability to analyze information skillfully and develop alternative solutionsStrong organizational skillsNice to HaveExperience at an agency, life science/medical device company, or life science consulting firmFamiliarity with digital health, patient education platforms, or data-driven publication toolsExperience building or contributing to a product management practice from the ground upExposure to regulatory, compliance, and technical processes necessary to deploy data analytics products within life sciences companiesTrack record of successfully transitioning from IC to a people management roleTravel RequirementsAbility to travel within the US and internationally as necessary, based on project, sponsor, and organizational needs (<10% travel expected).The Team You'll Work Closest WithYou will work most closely with Business Strategy, Technology, and Client Services teams. The range for this role is $90,000 - $105,000.
