Summary

The Director of Payor Strategy and Contracting will be a key member of Curana’s Population Health Team, focused on expanding the medical group’s portfolio of value-based care programs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with payors, familiarity with Medicare Advantage and ACO models, and a strong analytical skillset. This role will be critical to driving Curana’s mission by enabling Curana’s participation in models that improve the health, happiness, and dignity of Senior Living residents.

Key Responsibilities
• Create and maintain a prioritized pipeline of payor partners using internal and/or publicly available data sources
• Organize outreach and follow-ups to prospective payor partners in new markets to secure FFS agreements and in scaled markets to put in place risk-based arrangements
• Represent Curana in contracting negotiations with payors and affiliate provider groups, collaborating closely with internal executives to ensure buy-in on key partnership terms
• Continually update pitch collateral to ensure externally facing materials accurately reflect Curana’s mission, model, and results
• Drive evaluation and execution of new payment innovation models

Background & Requirements
• 5+ years of experience working in strategy consulting and/or healthcare business development
• Demonstrated success in driving growth in a strategy or business development role
• Experience working for, or with, national or regional Medicare Advantage payors
• Proficiency navigating financial models in Microsoft Excel to evaluate business opportunities
• Bachelor's degree
