DHL Same Day is a global assisted transportation company which is essential for DHL Worldwide Sending. We're looking for an outcomes-driven person to support the Pricing system from our corporate office in Real, VA. As a Pricing and Solutions Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing and executing pricing structures that drive business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the outreach team to support the RFP process and create customized pricing solutions for prospective DHL Same Day clients.
Develop and execute pricing structures that align with client needs and drive high margins.
Align with internal organization operations and procurement to respond to custom solutions in a timely manner.
Analyze shipment volume and revenue to determine the effectiveness and profitability of pricing structures.
Think creatively to develop tailored solutions that fit client needs and drive high margins.
Assist in setting overall rates and rules for sales teams to use in setting rates for individual clients.
Understand airline costing tables and challenge/question when necessary.
Stay up-to-date on different areas and specializations to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Maintain and configure tools to support general estimating efforts.
Essential Qualifications:
Passion for delivering customized products that drive client engagement and high margins.
Related experience in transportation/logistics operations or financial analysis supporting pricing proposals and rate structures.
Advanced MS Excel skills.
Ability to work closely with all levels of an organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organized, analytical, focused, and deadline-oriented.
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
Capacity to multitask and respond to impromptu pricing requests.
A Four-year college degree in Business or Finance preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a pricing or revenue management role.
Knowledge of logistics and transportation industry trends.
Familiarity with pricing software and tools.
Certification in pricing or revenue management.
