THIS IS A US BASED REMOTE OPPORTUNITY Job Summary: The Dev Ops Engineer brings a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and a working knowledge of information security practices. This role is integral to maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure delivery pipelines across our platform ecosystem. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable automating deployments and hardening environments against security threats. Key Responsibilities DevOps & Infrastructure Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery of applications across multiple environments Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS (or Azure), including computer, networking, storage, and managed services Automate operational tasks including provisioning, configuration management, patching, and monitoring using tools like Ansible or similar Support containerized workloads using Docker and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes or ECS) Monitor system health, set up alerting, and participate in incident response and root cause analysis Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve build reliability, deployment frequency, and system resilience Information Security Apply security best practices across cloud environments including IAM policies, least-privilege access, secrets management, and network segmentation Assist with vulnerability scanning, patch management, and remediation tracking across infrastructure and application layers Support compliance initiatives by implementing controls aligned with frameworks such as SOC 2, NIST, or ISO 27001 Integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning) as part of a DevSecOps approach Participate in security reviews, threat modeling exercises, and risk assessments Manage and audit access controls, certificates, and secrets using tools such as AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, or equivalent Assist in responding to security incidents, conducting log analysis, and supporting forensic investigations as needed Required Qualifications: 3+ years of hands-on DevOps or platform engineering experience Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.) Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/ECS) Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) Foundational understanding of information security principles, network security, and secure configuration practices Familiarity with secrets management, certificate lifecycle management, and access control frameworks Experience with logging and observability platforms (CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, or similar) Preferred Qualifications: Security certification or coursework (CompTIA Security+, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent) Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Tenable, Snyk, or similar) Familiarity with compliance frameworks: SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST, or CIS Benchmarks Experience supporting DevSecOps practices including automated security gates in pipelines Background in a regulated industry (healthcare, financial services, or background screening) Exposure to SIEM tools and security event log management Experience working with onshore/offshore distributed engineering teams Special Requirements: Must be proficient in the English language, both written and verbal. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
