Dental Billing Account Manager
About the position
Responsibilities
• Manage a team of Dental Billing professionals.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of accounts and accounts receivable billing staff.
• Supervise and facilitate all processes, policies, and procedures related to billing.
• Ensure workflow quality, productivity, and overall team motivation and effectiveness.
• Conduct professional development and training for team members.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot payment problems with minimal supervision.
• Meet weekly, monthly, and annual goals and deadlines.
• Initiate or assist with appeals to payers as needed.
• Track appeals from start to resolution.
Requirements
• At least 5 years of experience in Dental Billing.
• 3 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
• Prior Revenue Cycle management experience preferred.
• Certified Coder preferred but not required.
• Experience with Epic, ECW, and Dentix is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in a third-party medical billing company.
• Knowledge of dental billing practices and revenue cycle management.
