About the Data Ventures Team Our team is responsible for developing reusable technologies that enhance customer acquisition, onboarding, and enablement of suppliers, while ensuring a seamless experience across all channels. Key Responsibilities Data Transformation and Integration: Extract data from identified databases, create data pipelines, and transform data into a relevant structure to address complex business problems. Data Source Identification: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify suitable data sources, and perform initial data quality checks. Data Modeling: Analyze complex data elements, frameworks, and relationships to develop conceptual, physical, and logical data models that drive business decision-making. Code Development and Testing: Write code to develop required solutions, create experiments to review and validate proposed solution designs, and test code using appropriate testing approaches. Applied Business Acumen: Provide recommendations to business stakeholders to address complex business problems, develop business cases for projects, and translate business requirements into actionable tasks. Data Governance: Establish, align, and report on data governance activities, implement data governance practices, and educate others on data governance processes and policies. Technical Leadership: Demonstrate exceptional technical expertise, provide expert guidance and direction to others, and contribute to the development of business solutions. Collaboration and Communication: Build relationships with key stakeholders, identify business needs, and develop strategic processes and practices to drive business outcomes. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Experience with distributed computing platforms like GCP, Azure, or AWS. Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes. Experience with data integration tools like Automic, Informatica PowerCenter, or Talend. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge: Experience with Data bricks, NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB, and RDBMS like MySQL or Postgres. Hands-on experience with messaging platforms like Kafka. Graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience with data engineering, database design, business intelligence, or business analysis.
