The Role: Data Analytics Technical Expert – Teaching Assistant As a Data Analytics Technical Expert – Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with our students, providing live support and guidance as they progress through our rigorous data analytics curriculum. Your expertise and passion for data analytics will help create a safe and inclusive learning environment, where students feel comfortable asking questions, expressing concerns, and engaging in discussions. Key Responsibilities: Host online video sessions for groups of students seeking live support and guidance Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students to ask questions and engage in discussions Arrive punctually and complete required reports before the end of each shift Stay up-to-date with curricular, team, and company updates through Slack, email, and other async communications Assist in maintaining records of student progress, including escalating and seeking help from instructors as needed Serve as a substitute lecturer, teaching live in our established curriculum (if desired) Join live student study pods via video call to unblock their progress on labs and other coursework Requirements: 4+ years of relevant professional work and/or teaching experience Proficiency in SQL, Advanced Excel, Tableau, Python, Postgres, with a strong statistical background and experience with experimental design and A/B testing Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and become familiar with our program curriculum, including core concepts, topics, learning objectives, assignments, solutions, and grading rubrics Strong attention to detail and ability to provide accurate and high-quality support to students Growth mindset, with a willingness to learn new concepts, undergo training, and adapt to changes in curriculum, teaching, and student support methodologies Ability to collaborate with instructors and fellow teaching assistants, seeking guidance when necessary, and communicating progress and challenges effectively Reliable, high-speed internet connection with clear audio and video in a non-distracting workspace Preferred Qualifications: Experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field Familiarity with online learning platforms and educational technologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines What We Offer: As a Data Analytics Technical Expert – Teaching Assistant at Thinkful, you'll enjoy: Competitive pay: $34 per hour Flexible, part-time schedule with a minimum of 10 hours per week Opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic and supportive team environment Access to all Thinkful course curriculum for your continued learning and professional development Community of 500+ like-minded professionals dedicated to making a positive impact in education Remote work arrangement, with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States Why Join Us?
