As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll be at the forefront of this effort, ensuring that patients receive their medications in a timely and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and revivifying benefits to ensure seamless delivery. Interact with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve issues, address concerns, and facilitate the processing of specialty medications. Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues. Demonstrate compassionate, genuine care for patients and customers, providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone. Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications. One year of computer keyboarding experience, with strong skills and aptitude. A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred: Healthcare work experience, with familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
