YouTube Shorts Researcher – Find Original Source Clips

I’m looking for someone with solid experience in finding and sourcing original clips used in YouTube Shorts. You’ll get a list of Shorts, and your task is to locate where each clip originally came from — ideally the first upload or official creator channel. Important: The goal is to find the clean, original version of each clip — free from edits, stickers, watermarks, or added effects. The clip should come directly from the first or official source upload, not a repost or compilation. Always aim for the highest-quality version available. Content sources: Clips will typically come from Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, Facebook, and YouTube. You’ll need to be comfortable searching across all of these platforms to find the authentic, original upload. What you’ll do: • Review the Shorts I provide • Identify each individual clip • Find the original upload on the correct platform (Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, Facebook, or YouTube) • Verify that the clip is unedited and from the authentic source • Deliver results in a Google Sheet or Excel file with the following columns: • Clip number • Original video link • Platform • Channel or username • Upload date • Timestamp where the clip appears • Notes (if needed) Requirements: • Proven experience doing this type of job — sourcing or tracking original video clips • Strong research skills and attention to detail • Able to quickly identify reposted or edited content • Familiar with search tools and filters on Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, Facebook, and YouTube • Understanding of basic copyright and fair use principles • Reliable communication and quick turnaround 1-3 days Preferred tools and skills: • Experience with YouTube Shorts research or content sourcing • Knowledge of tools like Google reverse image/video search, InVID, or similar verification tools • Comfortable working in Google Sheets or Excel • Experience with YouTube automation or channel management (a plus) Project details: • Test batch: around 10 Shorts • If the work is accurate and efficient, there will be ongoing weekly tasks • I’ll review a few examples from your first batch to confirm quality before continuing To apply: Briefly describe your experience with YouTube Shorts research or video sourcing.
