What are we looking for?
Fidelity is seeking a Sr. Scrum Master in our Jacksonville, FL office or as a remote employee. If you are a remote employee, you must be willing to work East Coast hours. For this position you will have expert knowledge of the scrum ceremonies and practices, demonstrated experience standing up new teams under an agile framework, a deep commitment to servant leadership and an appetite for continuous learning, coaching, and training
Duties
What will I do as a Sr. Scrum Master at Fidelity?
• Ensures the team is adhering to Agile values and principles through facilitation, coaching and modeling agile values and behaviors.
• Creates a positive work environment where each person feels valued and helps team members manage their working relationships through transparent dialogue and discussion.
• Demonstrates transparency, inspection, and adaption in everything that they do.
• Ensures impediments to the team are quickly removed.
• Supports the team to deliver business value by understanding the intent of features and stories.
• Uses data to assess team’s performance and to lead improvement activities.
• Coaches the team to improve their practices, productivity, and self-organization.
• Fosters accountability within the team to hold to standards and delivery commitments.
• Supports the Product Owner in managing the product backlog and preparing for elaboration, sprint planning and sprint reviews.
• Facilitates the planning of sprints, releases and quarterly plans.
• Helps the team assess their current capabilities and develops plan to improve team practices and performance.
• Work with other Scrum Masters and Product Owners/Managers to identify and resolve dependencies between the teams.
• Helps the team establish meaningful sprint goals that resonate with the business.
• Hands on facilitation of story writing, elaboration, sprint planning, retrospectives.
• Recognized as a key contributor to a positive team culture.
• Utilizes multiple approaches for brainstorming and innovation to keep team on continuous improvement path.
Education
• 5+ Years of experience as a scrum master working with multiple teams simultaneously.
• A Scrum Master certification from a recognized organization, e.g., Scrum Alliance.
