About the Opportunity
As an AI Research Scientist within Apple's Information and AI Development (DMLI) group, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our core AI capabilities. Key Responsibilities
Research & Development: Conduct in-depth research and experimentation in machine learning, with a strong focus on data-driven AI solutions. This includes exploring new algorithms, architectures, and techniques to improve model performance and efficiency.
Natural Language Processing (NLP): Leverage your expertise in NLP and large language models (LLMs) like BERT, GPT, and Transformers to develop and refine natural language understanding and generation capabilities. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the rapidly evolving field of LLMs.
Model Development & Evaluation: Design, develop, and evaluate machine learning models for a variety of applications. This involves building robust model assessment pipelines to ensure continuous improvement and rigorous evaluation.
Data Curation & Analysis: Participate in the design and implementation of comprehensive data curation strategies to ensure high-quality, reliable data for model training and evaluation. Conduct thorough analysis of gathered data to identify insights and assess their impact on model performance.
Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and researchers to co-design and co-develop innovative AI solutions. Actively contribute to brainstorming sessions and knowledge sharing within the team.
Publication & Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the advancement of our research by publishing findings in relevant academic conferences and journals (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP). A strong publication record is highly valued.
Problem Solving: Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex AI challenges and develop effective solutions.
Staying Current: Continuously monitor and evaluate emerging trends in AI and machine learning to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
Passion for AI: Demonstrated enthusiasm for data-driven AI and a strong desire to contribute to cutting-edge research.
