The Editor will play a key role in maintaining high-quality content for the online blog of and . The Editor will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all content submitted for publication, making sure that all content adheres to the respective brand’s editorial guidelines and values. Depending on the writer's skills, editing time may vary, but the expected ideal editing time per article is about 30 minutes. The editor should edit at least 5 articles a day. Exceptions to the editorial calendar can be made based on the re-prioritization of articles (e.g., client articles, and less often, event-related articles). Articles will be published by the Content Operations Manager. Main Duties and Responsibilities: • Recruiting and managing freelance writers • Review, edit, and approve all content submitted for publication • Manage editorial calendar • Writing and distributing article assignments • Edit articles for overall quality, as determined by grammar, accuracy, ease of readability, relevance, cases of plagiarism, content value, consistency in tone and style, and image choice • Collect and communicate feedback for any on-staff writers, to ensure that the team’s skills and the content’s quality only grows • Ensure content is published on the website in strict adherence to the editorial style guidelines and quality level that the brands require, both of which are aimed to be reliable and esteemed authorities in their respective industries. • Participate and guide Editorial brainstorms to strategically plan content that will engage readers and drive traffic to each website • Work in tandem with the Content Operations Manager to ensure all content being published is SEO optimized • As needed - SEO work on articles, article uploading, writing articles • Recent graduates with content writing and editing experience are welcome to apply!
