Commercial Loan Servicing Representative

The Commercial Loan Servicing Representative provides back office operations support for commercial and business banking, ensuring compliance and managing loan documentation and transactions.ResponsibilitiesComplete a preliminary review of loan submissions to ensure regulatory and legal compliancePrepare loan documents in accordance with Commerce Bank’s credit policyInterpret complex loan documents to set loans up on the loan accounting systemPost loan transactions and providing account problem resolutionProcess complex loan accounting transactions such as syndications and participationsProvide ongoing monitoring and reporting of collateral securing commercial loansComplete a post-closing review to ensure all documents comply with regulatory requirements and Commerce Bank policyCollaborate with internal and external business partners to improve service levelsCreate or update procedural manuals and job aids as neededProvide research and resolution to customer concerns/issuesPerforming other duties as assignedSkillsAbility to analyze, interpret, and understand commercial loan and/or legal documentation with a high degree of accuracyBasic knowledge of commercial loan servicing databases and systems, including but not limited to Shaw, ELAR, Credit Stream, LaserPro, CAC, and AppianBasic knowledge of federal banking regulations, especially those related to commercial lendingMotivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesInquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core ValuesIntermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and OutlookAssociate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required1+ years financial services experience requiredBachelor's degree preferredCommercial lending experience preferredBenefitsEmployer sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Life insurancePaid vacationPaid personal timeCareer developmentEducation assistanceVoluntary supplemental benefitsCompany OverviewCommerce Bank is a commercial bank that offers financial products and banking services.
