Apply today and let’s do great things together!   Job Description:The Closing Manager will report to the Director of Closing, Funding and Post Closing. This position is primarily responsible for all closing activities by leading and supporting a team of closers for our growing retail and wholesale business channels.  This critical role is instrumental to the operations organization and will be an integral part of the operations management team. Manage a team of closers whose tasks include preparing closing documents, reviewing closing documents, & providing superior customer service for both retail customers & wholesale partners. This position will require travel.Essential Functions/Specific Duties: Staff Management includes Hiring, Training and Managing teams consisting of 10-20 mortgage closersDaily/Weekly pipeline management to ensure SLAs are met each day, loans are closed and funded on time, HUDs are balanced and within complianceEnsure team is preparing closing documents as needed, sending closing documents to appropriate title companies/notaries, partners etc. and ensuring documents meet Investor/Warehouse Bank, FHA, and regulatory requirementsAbility to perform root cause analysis on why loan was closed in error and provide solutions and feedback to ManagementCommunicate and interact with other department managers, as well as the recruiting department to ensure that staffing needs are in line with capacity plan and profit/loss, and quality of work expectations are metWork with training, and other department heads to develop training tools for all team membersNotify and work together with underwriting, managers and other department team members of any issues or delays with closingCommunicate effectively with loan officers, account executives, sales support, and wholesale partners to ensure a smooth closing processMonitor and send daily & weekly production reports with quality and current production challenges to managementDevelop strategies to improve process and enhance workflowHold weekly department meetingsEstablish and maintain a thorough knowledge of all products and investor requirements to ensure quality closing packages, salability to the Investor and FHA insuringOnboarding calls with Wholesale partnersComplete internal and external audits of HECM and Proprietary programsReview and edit work instructions as needed as well as update daily checklistsOne-on-One mentoring, weekly, monthly, and or as needed, for team members who are not meeting the production and/or quality expectations and develop action plans to addressMotivate and lead team to success using daily recognition, team building activities and positive reinforcementTravel, Prepare & Present department material to Offsite/Ons-site meetings and Industry Conferences multiple times a year.Complete and Administer Employee Annual Performance Review  Qualifications:Qualifications/Job Requirements: Strong knowledge of all closing regulations including but not limited to RESPA/TILA, Reg B, etc.Effectively work under time constraints with multiple competing prioritiesAbility to multi-task in fast paced environmentExcellent leadership and communication skillsExcellent follow up, problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to proficiently use Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, and ExcelMust be responsible, detail oriented, and maintain reliable follow throughMay require long hours/overtime at certain times of the monthClosing experience within the past 3 years5+ years management experience a plusBachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of management and closing experienceMulti-tasking and prioritization skills necessaryExcellent customer service, time management, communications; oral and written skills a must Additional Information:Working in a growing and dynamic industryFull benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA/HSA, and wide array of voluntary products and discounts401(k) with company matchPaid time offThis is an Exempt roleTarget base salary range is 130-140K which is based on various factors including skills and work experience.In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive additional compensation program via annual bonus that is based on individual performance.LBF is an EEO/AA/Vet/Disabled EmployerPlease note that salaries that are estimated on various job sites may not reflect the actual compensation.
