Proofreader for YA/NA Contemporary Romance Sequel
Hi! I’m an indie author looking for a proofreader for the second book in my contemporary romance series. The manuscript is a YA/NA contemporary romance sequel, approximately 88,900 words, and I’ll be working in Google Docs, so I’m looking for someone comfortable proofreading directly in that format using suggestions/comments. I’m looking for a proofreader with a strong eye for: • grammar • punctuation • spelling/typos • sentence-level clarity • consistency/continuity • repeated words or awkward phrasing Because this is a romance series, I’d especially love to work with someone who has experience with YA, NA, or contemporary romance and understands voice, emotional tone, and readability. A few things I’d love to know when applying: • your experience with romance editing/proofreading • whether you’ve worked in Google Docs before • your typical turnaround time for a manuscript of this length This project is for one book, but I’m writing a series and would love to find someone I can work with long term if we’re a good fit.
