As LPN, you are required to be licensed by the state, with a certification in CPR, and have at least two years of prior nursing experience preferred in the field. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team and be responsible for providing the best possible outcomes for residents and identifying any abnormal changes in their care
• Transferring residents between medical facilities is necessary when their care or medical needs exceed the level of care provided at their current location
• Prescription requisitions handled by pharmacists and physicians
• Medication administration
• It is imperative to observe infection control measures, emergency response protocols, and other center policies
• Individual efforts are not enough to achieve the best outcomes for residents; collaboration with their interdisciplinary team is necessary
• Recognizing abnormal changes in residents' physical or mental condition is essential to being proactive about providing optimal care and timely treatment when necessary
To maintain licensure, LPNs are required to complete continuing education courses to stay current with advancements in the healthcare industry and maintain their skills and knowledge:
• LPNs must be licensed by the State before they can practice nursing
• CPR Certification required
• Previous nursing experience of two years or more is preferred
