Cisco ISE Network Engineer (Hybrid/Remote)

Job Title: Cisco ISE Network Engineer (Contract) Location: Hybrid – Must be able to work onsite in Orange, CA for a few days every 2 weeks Duration: Up to 12 Months – Project-Based (Phase 1 Implementation + Phase 2 Cleanup) Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (After-hours work will be required for cutovers) Job Summary: We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Cisco ISE Network Engineer to support a critical infrastructure and device validation project. The engineer will be responsible for device verification, switch replacement, and transitioning Cisco ISE from monitor to enforcement mode. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work in dynamic environments, and experience managing secure network access. Key Responsibilities: • Physically verify all connected devices on designated floors • Ensure infrastructure mapping is accurate and complete • Replace switches designated for monitor mode and execute Cisco ISE enforcement configuration • Provide real-time troubleshooting for unexpected network/device issues during implementation • Collaborate with client teams and support incident escalation as needed • Assist with post-deployment validation and remediation activities in Phase 2 Qualifications: • Proven experience with Cisco ISE implementation, including monitor-to-enforcement transitions • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and switch configuration • Solid troubleshooting experience in high-stakes production environments • Ability to differentiate between change-related issues and unrelated disruptions • Familiarity with secure access policies, device identification, and endpoint behavior analysis About Us: Irvine Technology Corporation (ITC) is a leading provider of technology and staffing solutions for IT, Security, Engineering, and Interactive Design disciplines servicing startups to enterprise clients, nationally.
