Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for delivery and pickup of containers to and/or from customer locations; provide an effective and incident free delivery or pickup of a container while maintaining excellent rapport with the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ā¢ Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites in a safe manner by following all safety rules
ā¢ Perform and log daily pre and post trip inspections of commercial vehicle and lift
ā¢ Accept add-on deliveries as required to meet business needs
ā¢ Use company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation
ā¢ Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane
ā¢ Clean and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable for delivery to customer
ā¢ Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with the customer
ā¢ Communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager on customer questions and/or issues; Prepare driver notes as needed
ā¢ Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center
ā¢ Provide backup for storage center functions when needed
ā¢ Maintain cleanliness of truck cab (keep free from debris inside and outside)
ā¢ May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES
ā¢ Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Market Manager, Territory Manager
ā¢ Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management)
Pay Range: 23.00-23.00 per_hour, General Benefits:
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements
ā¢ High School diploma or equivalent
ā¢ Valid CDL Class B License Required without air brake restriction
ā¢ Must maintain a current/valid driver license
ā¢ Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards
ā¢ Must be at least 21 years of age (insurance requirement)
ā¢ Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain a minimum of a 1 year certification (DOT requirement)
ā¢ Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software preferred
ā¢ Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
ā¢ Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
ā¢ Ability to attend required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program
