This is a remote position.Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (New York Time)Break: 30-minute unpaid breakTotal Weekly Hours: 40 hoursOur client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Case Manager to support attorneys in handling a high-volume caseload of personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. The ideal candidate has prior legal case management experience, strong organizational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the main contact for clients, providing regular updates and answering questions professionally and with empathyAssist attorneys with file preparation, document collection, calendar management, and case trackingOpen, manage, and close case files according to firm procedures and legal requirementsCommunicate with insurance companies, medical providers, and other parties to gather records and manage appointmentsDraft legal correspondence, forms, and other documents under attorney supervisionMaintain accurate case notes and updates in the case management systemPrepare settlement packages and assist in claims negotiations when applicableEnsure all documents comply with firm and legal standardsRequirements2+ years of experience as a Case Manager or Legal Assistant in a personal injury or workers’ compensation firmStrong knowledge of litigation and claims processes (New York State experience preferred)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsHighly organized and detail-orientedProficient in legal software and Microsoft OfficeAble to manage multiple priorities independentlyIndependent Contractor PerksHMO coverage (for eligible locations)Permanent work-from-home setupImmediate hiringSteady freelance opportunityZR_24620_JOBOriginally posted on Himalayas
