About the Role:
As an Entry-Level Survey CAD Technician, youâll help create accurate survey layouts, site plans, and 3D models using AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS concepts. Youâll also process survey data, work with LiDAR (point cloud) technology, and ensure quality control of survey deliverables. This role is perfect for detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working with technology and problem-solving.
What Youâll Do:
⢠Learn to prepare boundary survey layouts, site plans, and route surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
⢠Assist in processing GPS and conventional survey data while working with LiDAR (point cloud) technology.
⢠Help analyze design plans, check for accuracy, and ensure quality control.
⢠Collaborate with field personnel, surveyors, and project managers to turn raw data into valuable insights.
⢠Conduct public records research, assist in project setups, and perform basic data computations.
What You Need:
⢠High school diploma required; an associate degree in surveying or a related field is a plus.
⢠Basic understanding of AutoCAD or Civil 3D (if youâve used it in school or a past job, thatâs great!).
⢠Interest in surveying, mapping, or GIS technology.
⢠Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
⢠Experience with Excel, Word, and Adobe is helpful, but not required.
