Business Systems Manager I

Overview:
The Business Systems Manager I, through self-directed activities accountable for delivery of technical solutions in support of medium to larger projects such as account implementations, product implementations, systems enhancements, new system functionality and business effectiveness consulting. Evaluates the impacts to Plan operations and makes recommendations (process or system-oriented) to lessen impacts. Identifies, documents, recommends and implements approaches to most effectively use system functionality or product in the most productive way and can quantify the business value of recommendations. Identifies, captures and reports the operational metrics and data to measure the use and effectiveness of a system enhancement or a product. Identifies, tracks and reports on capacity metrics and forecasts for their product or system enhancement. Supports system and data architecture needs by applying NASCO policies and standards as appropriate throughout product/project delivery. Mentors less experienced team members, and develops as a SME in multiple system areas. May provide approval of less experienced team members' test deliverables.

Responsibilities:
Performs analysis to assess business and user needsGathers, defines, and documents high level and detailed business and technical requirementsResearches and develops innovative system solutions that use the system/product the most effectivelyQuantifies the business value of proposed system solutionsRecommends and coordinates development/enhancements to meet customers' needs.Defines the impacts of project objectives to the system and business by using industry knowledge and system specificationsAssesses technical design from vendor for traceability to business requirementsAssesses technical designs from vendor for thoroughness, impacts to system including performance and capacityIdentifies, captures and reports the operational metrics and data to measure the use and effectiveness of the a system enhancement or a productSupports system and data architecture needs by applying NASCO policies and standards as appropriate throughout product/project delivery.Develops test strategies and test plansPerforms user acceptance testing and validate resultsIdentify and document user acceptance test defectsPartner with Plan(s) and vendor to resolve test defectsCreate Plan-readiness criteria and assessmentConduct post-production check outFacilitate walk through of system changes and test resultsOperates within resource (time and money) constraints to achieve resultsObtain customer sign off on project deliverablesProvides training and quality assurance as needed to peers and customers in areas for which you are a SMEPromotes, recommends, and participates in process improvement activitiesMentors less experience team membersDevelops skills and gains knowledge to be a SME in multiple system areas.May provide approval of less experienced team members' test deliverables.Communicates effectively (verbal and written)

Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience: 6-10 years experience as Business Systems Manage or related technical positionPrevious experience participating in large software development or implementation projectsPrevious experience in developing and implementing software testing strategiesPrevious experience working with customers and end usersPrevious experience in working with software vendors or in implementing vendor custom developed applicationsProficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint software toolsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to develop good, effective working relationships with customers through minimal contactExceptional attention to detailStrong sense of urgency Required Training and Education:Bachelor's degree in business or technology or work equivalentCBAP or CAPM certification required within 18 months from date of hire Work Conditions:Home office/RemoteAbility to sit and use equipment at workstation for up to 8 hours dailyAbility to work a flexible schedule when work requires Benefits Overview At NASCO, we trust our workforce to be fully remote, working from their home.
