Bookkeeping Assistant, Data Entry
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting processes. Duties
Ā Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording financial transactions accurately and timely.
Ā Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
Ā Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses against budgeted amounts.
Ā Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks and Xero for various accounting tasks.
Ā Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks related to accounts payable and receivable.
Ā Generate financial reports and assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
Ā Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) in all accounting practices.
Ā Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data for reporting purposes.
Requirements
Ā Proficiency in accounting principles, including general ledger accounting.
Ā Experience with financial software, particularly QuickBooks and Xero, is highly desirable.
Ā Strong skills in budgeting and financial report writing.
Ā Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ā Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ā Familiarity with 10 key typing for efficient data entry tasks.
Ā A degree or coursework in accounting or finance is preferred but not mandatory.
