This is an opportunity to build systems from the ground up—designing APIs, structuring data models, and optimizing performance to support a high-growth company.You'll work closely with product owners, designers, and other engineers to bring new features to life, ensuring our systems are both scalable and reliable. From architecting backend services to debugging performance bottlenecks, you’ll have full ownership of the product lifecycle—shaping everything from system design to implementation.This role is perfect for engineers who love tackling complex problems in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with cross-functional teams, and want to see their work directly impact the future of healthcare. If you're excited by the challenge of building high-performance backend systems at scale, we'd love to have you on board.This position is based in our NYC office.Core Responsibilities Work directly with the Head of R&D in architecting and building Angle's backend infrastructureWork with product owners & designers to build a scalable implementation process across multiple web productsSupport the entire application lifecycle, including concept, design, test, release, and support phasesBuild optimal backend applications that are performant at scaleWork together with the product leadership to plan new featuresOversee the compliance of applications with established quality standardsWhat We Value4+ years software engineering experienceStrong understanding of business context and a desire to connect engineering solutions to real-world problems, driving impactful outcomes for the company and its usersStrong engineering background in technical fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, and PhysicsFamiliarity with data structures, CI/CD, software development lifecycles, backend frameworks, and other technical toolsDemonstrated proficiency in Python and Django, experience with Java is a plusDemonstrated ability to learn and work independently and make decisions with minimal supervisionA desire to be part of the journey to change the face of healthcareInspire your colleagues with your thirst for mastering the things you work withAre a passionate developer, proud of the quality of your workThe salary range for this job opportunity is $100,000 to $240,000 per year, which is the amount Angle Health anticipates paying for this position at the time of this job posting.
