Back-end Engineer - Team Decide
About the role Taktile is a high-growth, post product-market-fit start-up, on a fast trajectory to becoming market leader in the field of automated decisioning. We are looking for a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join the Decide Team tasked with owning our core decision execution engine at Taktile , complex back-end systems involved in feature computation, as well as the overall decision flow canvas. What You'll Do Primarily work on backend components written in Python, hosted on AWS: Build and enhance our execution engine, our feature computation back-end and other complex subsystems; review pull requests with depth, and optimize CI/CD pipelines. Engage actively in team rituals such as daily syncs, planning sessions, demos, and technical deep-dive discussions. Requirements: Taktile is a hybrid company with options to work from either our Berlin HQ, or the London or Iasi hub. Taktile will not cover relocation services for this role. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential as we operate in a hybrid environment requiring clear and effective communication. Strong engineering fundamentals with a passion for simplicity and precision Ideal, But Not Required Experience with database technologies (Postgres, DynamoDB, Apache Iceberg). Experience with serverless technologies (e.g. Lambda) Required Experience Prior industry experience with Python. Prior industry experience with public cloud providers (preferably AWS).
