AWS Cloud Engineer
Crew helps clients deliver change through IT project delivery and operational efficiency efforts. They are seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to assist in implementing AWS services, maintaining cloud environments, and supporting business operations through CI/CD workflows.ResponsibilitiesAssist in implementing and maintaining AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Lambda) supporting insurance operations, policy administration, actuarial tools, customer portals, and data platformsSupport senior engineers in building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation while following company governance standardsHelp maintain secure, compliant cloud environments aligned with lifeāinsurance and financialāservices requirements (e.g., data retention, encryption, logging)Monitor AWS resources and assist with troubleshooting performance or access issues in alignment with SLAs supporting customer service, underwriting, and claims systemsParticipate in CI/CD workflows used to deploy internal applications and automation supporting business operationsContribute to detailed documentation required for internal audits, incident reviews, continuity planning, and regulatory complianceWork closely with security, risk, and compliance teams to ensure appropriate tagging, access controls, and resource standards are consistently appliedContinue building cloud knowledge through active mentorship and structured training pathsSkillsFoundational understanding of core AWS services or completion of relevant coursework/certification (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner)Basic experience with Linux or Windows servers, particularly in secure, managed environmentsFamiliarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)Understanding of core networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, and DNSExperience using Git or similar version control toolsStrong motivation to learn cloud engineering within a regulated industryBenefitsComprehensive healthcare package (medical, dental, vision)Disability and group term life insuranceHealth and flexible spending accountsUtilization bonus401(k) with matchFlexible time off for salaried employeesParental leave for salaried employeesFlexible work arrangementsCompany OverviewFounded in tandem with Turnberry Solutions, Crew serves as an innovative talent development program for both Turnberry and our clients by focusing exclusively on high-performing early-career consultants.
