Attorney IV - Artificial Intelligence and Automation Specialist

**Overview:** State Compensation Insurance Fund's Special Projects Unit is seeking an experienced Attorney IV to join our exceptional legal team as a subject matter expert in the integration and tactical execution of AI technology projects and how those will impact the execution of the legal department's processes and applications. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of workers' compensation law using AI and automation. **Responsibilities:** • Identify and recommend technology tools and enhancements to Senior Legal Leadership that impact the execution of legal internal processes and existing applications/software. * Participate in development and project management meetings. * Develop project briefs and business requirement documents related to AI and the legal department's internal procedures, legal document automation, and systems improvements. * Coordinate training and testing related to technology projects. * Understand high to very high impact to the California business environment (employers, employees, the workers' compensation system). * Handle high to very high political and media impact, implications, or sensitivity. * Research high to very high potential dollar amount of the transaction or risk. * Handle the majority of individual assignment with high to very high potential exposure to State Fund. * Lead/participate on "project" type work related to AI, automation, and system improvements that impact the legal department's processes/procedures. * Handle and advise on precedent setting exposure where there is a possibility of high to very high impact on State Fund. **Qualifications:** • Must have exceptional knowledge of the legal department's applications/systems/processes. * Must have experience in Workers' Compensation legal technology processes. * Must have a strong understanding of AI, Automation, and Technology and how to apply those to a legal department's existing internal processes. * Must have exceptional analytical, written, and oral communication skills. * Must have exceptional research abilities. * Must have outstanding customer service and client relations skills. * Must have concise and persuasive writing abilities. * Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage project, meet deadlines, and work independently or on a team. **Benefits:** • Health Benefits Program (CalPERS) • Retirement (CalPERS) • Employer Health and Consolidated Benefits Contributions • Dental, Vision, 401(k) and 457 Deferred Compensation Plans • Employee Assistance Program • Group Legal Services Insurance • Holidays, Vacation/Sick/Other Paid Leave • Flex Elect Reimbursement Program • Wellness and Recognition • Alternate Work Schedules • Transit Pass Program • Tuition Reimbursement • Dependent Scholarship Program • Leadership Training • Mentoring Program Apply tot his job
