Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Associate Director - Web Platform Services to lead our cloud and e-commerce solutions. As a technical leader, you'll be responsible for defining and driving the performance strategy for web applications and microservices, leading a team of engineers, and partnering with cross-functional teams to develop roadmaps and implement new features for digital channels. Key Responsibilities Performance Strategy: Define and drive the performance strategy for web applications and microservices, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions. Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, such as architecture, product, development, platform, and quality engineering, to develop roadmaps and implement new features for digital channels. Performance Analysis: Communicate and present the results of performance analysis and modeling to customers, stakeholders, and senior leadership. Automation and Quality: Drive automation to improve software quality and speed of delivery, incorporating automation and virtualization into test strategy and execution. Infrastructure Upgrades: Recommend infrastructure upgrades to support business growth and evolving technology requirements. Test Coverage: Improve test coverage for services, promote a "shift-left" mindset, organize and implement integration tests, and resolve problem areas. Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their applicability to the organization. Collaborative Environment: Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and skill development. Essential Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelor's or master's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 10+ years of solid experience and understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices for building highly scalable and maintainable systems. Technical Skills: 8+ years of hands-on experience with high-volume websites and high-velocity transactions, designing systems that can handle the demands of real-time or near-real-time data. 8+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing for web applications and microservices. 8+ years of experience with leading, managing, and mentoring teams. 5+ years of proven experience building sophisticated applications and APIs in Cloud and hybrid cloud environments at large scale, preferably in Java and React JS. 5+ years of experience in using observability tools such as APM, analytics platforms, etc. 5+ years of experience working with cloud platforms, such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, to architect and implement scalable, high-performance, and efficient solutions. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Innovation: Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, adapt to emerging technologies, and implement industry best practices. Technical Skills: Experience in building applications and performance scripts using AI Peer Programming tools. Proficient in using modern software development tools, version control systems (ex. Git), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.
