Key Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in rhetoric and writing, with a typical teaching assignment of two courses per semester. Develop and maintain a robust research program in rhetoric, with a focus on producing high-quality scholarship and contributing to the field. Participate in departmental service, including committee work and advising students. Contribute to the administration of the writing program, if desired, and collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum. Foster an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community through teaching, research, and service. Qualifications and Requirements Essential Qualifications A Ph.D. in English, writing, rhetoric, communication, or a related field at the time of appointment. A promising research record in the field of rhetoric. A commitment to teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Ability to contribute to the department's and university's diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Preferred Qualifications Experience or interest in administering a writing program. A demonstrated commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community. Evidence of excellence in teaching and research.
