The Cybersecurity Consultant role involves enhancing clients' cybersecurity posture through testing, assessments, and client interactions, while collaborating with various teams to support practice development efforts. Responsibilities Performs testing or reviews for multiple client projects to assist client efforts to enhance their cybersecurity posture including: Penetration testing (e.g. external or internal network, wireless, web application, mobile etc.) Vulnerability assessments Social engineering assessments (e.g. phishing, vishing, physical impersonation, etc.) Other technical security configuration reviews (i.e Microsoft 365, firewall, routers, etc.) Participate in client meetings and present technical findings to clients i.e. IT and/or management/executives in an easy to understand manner Work closely with other cyber teams to coordinate client projects Interacts with other practice areas including but not limited to audit, tax, and other management consulting service groups Applies consulting skills to support practice development efforts Assists in proposal and engagement development Skills Pursuing Bachelors' Degree in IT Security (Management Information Systems, Information Security/Assurance, or Computer Science) or related field is required Practice with operating systems such as Windows and Linux, as well as penetration and vulnerability testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, and CrackMapExec A desire to provide excellent client service and a passion to expand your offensive security knowledge and skillset Displays excellent verbal and written communication skills Displays excellent time management and organization skills Experience with hands-on penetration testing labs such as HacktheBox, Try Hack Me, VulnHub etc Benefits Health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Flexible Time Off Various pre-determined holidays 401(k) plan Flexible benefits plans Business-related travel expense Lodging, and meal reimbursement for business-related use A pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff Plante Moran also offers some contingent staff positions the option to elect health insurance in addition to limited paid sick time Company Overview Plante Moran is an accounting and business advisory firm that offers audit, accounting, tax, and business advisory consulting services.
