Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and motivated candidates with US Accounting specialization to join our dynamic team.
The candidate must have 2-3 years of experience / knowledge in the USA real estate accounting or other US accounting process and must be proficient in using any of these application suits:
Yardi Breeze,
Yardi Voyager,
Appfolio,
Zoho Books,
The Accounting Associate position will play a critical role in managing our clients' accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining financial books for the clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Manage daily real estate accounting operations for clients using Yardi Voyager, Yardi Breeze, Appfolio, Zoho Books, QuickBooks Online, and WaveApps.
Record Keeping: Define journals, maintain AR, AP, Bank Reconciliations, Financial Reports & other required accounting records daily.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, providing insights and analysis for informed decision-making.
Maintenance Cost Tracking: Monitor and record maintenance expenses, ensuring accurate allocation and reporting, which may also include 3rd party invoice system access for data records.
Housing Assistance Program (HAP): Track HAP funds receipts and ensure proper accounting in financial books.
Bookkeeping: Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping in accounting software as required.
Reconciliation: Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
Client Communication: Collaborate with clients to address accounting-related queries and provide excellent customer service. (team effort)
Team Training: You are expected to be a reporting authority for the Jr. Accounting Associates and train them as and when required based on the project requirements.
Qualifications:
Education: Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 2 to 3 years of US Accounting experience is required (Freshers Must Not Apply!)
Preferred Software Proficiency: It would be an add-on if the candidate has experience with any of these applications : Yardi Voyager, Yardi Breeze, Appfolio,
Computer Skills: Expert in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Drive Management Data Management.
Language Skills: Fluency in English language is must.
Certifications: QuickBooks certifications are preferred and will be considered an advantage.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients.
