Volunteer Guest Writer – Elicit Magazine

Do you live and breathe music? Are you always the first to know about new releases, viral moments, and underground artists making waves? Elicit Magazine is looking for passionate, opinionated, and creative writers to join our volunteer contributor team!
As a Guest Writer, you’ll cover trending music news, new music releases, artist spotlights, and more. We're looking for someone who can confidently craft 2–3 engaging articles per week and has a pulse on what's buzzing in the music world.
What You’ll Do:
• Write 2–3 original posts per week (750+ words each)
• Cover trending stories in the music industry, viral moments, new singles/albums, rising talent, how-to guides, and more.
• Source relevant links, embed media (Spotify, YouTube, etc.), and ensure articles are factually accurate
• Submit content on time, following editorial guidelines
• Collaborate with our editor and team via Slack
Ideal Candidate:
• Strong writing skills and a conversational tone
• Up-to-date with the latest in music
• Able to pitch timely story ideas and work independently
• Previous blog or journalism experience is a plus, but not required
