Job Description
The Packaging Technician will play a vital role in supporting the production process by assisting in mixing soil, sorting materials, gathering resources, and facilitating material changes. The primary responsibility includes bagging soil material efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist in mixing and sorting soil.
- Gather and manage materials for production.
- Facilitate changeovers and move materials around the facility.
- Operate machines and equipment for soil bagging.
- Maintain quality control and ensure materials are handled properly.
- Participate in general production activities such as sweeping and inventory management.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks.
Essential Skills
- Experience in landscaping and general labor.
- Proficiency with hand tools and mechanical operations.
- Knowledge of batching and chemical processing.
- Experience with quality control and material handling.
- Ability to operate a forklift and production equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a production environment.

Work Environment
The work environment is a non-climate-controlled, open bay manufacturing facility. It can be dusty, leading to a dirty environment. The temperature may vary, being very hot during the summer and cold in the winter. Working hours are from 7 AM to 7 PM, Saturday and Sunday, or 7 PM to 7 AM, Saturday and Sunday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
