Website Designer/Developer for Monthly (Subscription) Fantasy Book Box Brand - Need a Wix.com Pro

We’re a company led by an illustrator and author who specialize in coloring books and fantasy books respectively. We’re looking for an experienced web designer/developer who can build modern, fast, mobile-first websites for selling and managing a fantasy genre monthly subscription box and eventually (if we are satisfied with the first website) a site to sell coloring books.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

- The use of AI is strictly prohibited when making these websites. If AI is used to generate, enhance or fill out text/images during this process we will have to pull out of the project and find a new website developer.

- We will be focusing on the fantasy book subscription box website. We will not be making the coloring book website in tandem with the first. If we like the work submitted for the subscription box website it’s possible we would like to stay in contact for future work on a coloring book website.

PRIMARY GOALS

1. Sell our fantasy subscription boxes. At first there will be one tier of box, going up to 3 in total.

2. Support future products: stickers, stationery, and other branded items.

3. Build our brand: homepage, product showcase, about page, and social media integration.

4. Blog + SEO foundation for long-term growth (categories, clean URLs, on-page SEO basics).

DESIGN DIRECTION

· Inspired by top book subscription box brands (e.g. Fairy Loot, Owl Crate), but the site must have our own character, flair, and visual identity. This would be a fantasy driven brand to match the books we will sell.

· We can include custom illustrations throughout the site (banners, icons/characters, section art). We can create many of these ourselves with your guidance. If custom art is not needed or can be made by you that is okay as long as it fits the visual identity and style we are going for.

· Absolutely no AI may be used for creating assets on either side. This includes but is not limited to generative AI, images enhanced with AI, AI generated text, etc.

WHAT I NEED FROM YOU

· Build the platform for my goals with Shopify

· Build the site + ecommerce setup:

1) Product pages (digital + physical)

2) Checkout/payment setup (Using Shopify)

3) Digital file delivery (secure delivery links)

4) Integration or linking strategy for Amazon-fulfilled physical products

5) The Site must be built in Wix

6) If we contact you for ongoing support, clearly state your hourly rate for consults.

· Core pages: Home, Shop, Product pages, About, Blog, Contact, FAQ/Shipping/Returns

· Email capture (newsletter signup), analytics (GA4), and basic SEO setup

· Clean, easy editing so I can update products and post blogs myself

ASSETS

· Please provide a clear asset checklist (sizes/formats) for:

o Homepage banner(s)

o Brand/logo needs (if applicable)

o Character/illustration placements

o Product mockups (if needed)

I can supply art in PNG/SVG/JPG. If something should be designed by you instead, I’m open to that.

DELIVERABLES

· Fully functioning website + responsive design

· Basic SEO setup + performance optimization

· Simple documentation or walkthrough video so I can manage the site

· Mobile optimized with fast loading of the site for all users

· Can adequately deliver the above without the use of AI in any step of the process.
