Web Designer/Developer, PLG (US)

Bringing together 6 incredible products - Celtx, Iconik, ftrack, cineSync, Wildmoka and Zype - Backlight’s products are used everywhere from Hollywood to Nollywood and everywhere in between.We welcome candidates based in the EST time zone within both the U.S. and Canada. Our Product Led Growth team is searching for a Website Designer/Developer to help own all our digital properties across these six products, as well as our parent property at Backlight.co.
Working alongside a Web Strategist, the Website Designer/Developer will help:
• Create new web pages and improving the existing websites
• Build landing pages for B2C and B2B campaigns
• Be a key stakeholder in our efforts to provide a holistic web experience on desktop and mobile for new and returning users, where we can showcase our brand and products to the world.
• Ensure analytics and tracking are properly installed to track the customer journey on our websites.
• Source and evolve our use of creative imagery across our digital properties.
• Plan and strategize improvements/ updates to the self-service funnel
• Ensure messaging and imagery is relevant to our core brand and customer personas
• Work alongside marketing, product, support and development teams for continuous improvement of Backlight’s digital properties.
• Research and implement new web tools across all defined Backlight products
• Drive website performance for visitors:sign-up
• Create new CRO experiments (ie. A/B tests) to improve the conversion rate of existing web properties
• Prepare and present recommendations, reports, and findings from experimental data to the organization
• Use data to improve marketing automation workflows that support the trial experience, retention, and increase conversion
• Partner with the Engineering team to establish best practices for lead generation and integration with Backlight’s Salesforce instance.
• Evaluate potential for localization efforts
Who You Are:
• Self-starter with the ability to build rapport cross-functionally.
• Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Someone who has a positive attitude, doesn't mind asking for help - and can keep projects moving - all while keeping our customers as the focus.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS required
• A group-focused person who knows that success is a team effort
• Familiarity with Conversion Rate Optimization principles are a plus
• Familiarity with different CMS systems, such as Hubspot, Wordpress, Webflow, Zesty are a plus
