Water Distribution Crew Leader
Receive verbal and/or written instructions; assign work to crew; obtain equipment and tools; maintain and enforce safety procedures; monitor conditions of equipment and vehicles; supervise and assist other crew members. Operate heavy and light equipment and machines, air hammers, compressors, tampers and pumps. Use hand tools, shovel, picks and locators. Locate water and sewer lines for other utilities and contractors. Keep record of all work performed. Reports disciplinary problems to supervisor. Hours: Monday thru Friday; 7:00am-3:30pm. AND OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS REQUIRED.
High School Diploma or GED required. This is an On Call position. Must have a Class D Water Distribution Operator License and upgrade to a class C License before Class D license expires. Good knowledge of geographic layout of city. Good knowledge of Water Distribution System and maintenance. Good knowledge of Wastewater collection system and maintenance. Shall assign duties, train and monitor work of employees. One year in crew performing the work above. Ability to perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time; to work in extreme weather conditions; to lift 50 lbs; to follow oral and written instructions. A valid A/CDL driver's license with a good driving record required.
