WatchOS Software QA Engineer

The WatchOS QA team is seeking a QA Engineer to help us ensure that our Watch experience is rock-solid and customer-focused. We're looking for critical thinkers who would like to play a key role qualifying Productivity and Media apps as well as the frameworks that support them. We practice nimble, fast-paced development that relies heavily on a tight relationship between Engineering and QA. Description In this position you will need to be self-motivated with strong technical and interpersonal skills. Day-to-day tasks will involve functional testing of iOS and watchOS applications, with a focus on productivity and media apps, sometimes across concurrent release vectors. Your responsibilities will include design and implementation of test plans and test cases, risk analysis, cross-functional testing coordination, and integration testing across the system.
Minimum Qualifications
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent on-the-job experience in Software QA
• 2+ years of industry experience in quality assurance
Preferred Qualifications
• Passionate about Quality Assurance, Watch Faces, and Complications.
• An enthusiasm for customer-focused design, and high-quality technology.
• Passion for debugging difficult problems and driving results with multi-functional teams.
• Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven experience in Software Quality Assurance creating test plans for new products and features.
• At ease and adaptable in a dynamic and informal atmosphere
• Excellent communication skills are a requirement due to the high level of interaction with engineering teams, management, and other organizations within Apple.
• Highly organized, creative, self-motivated, and passionate about achieving results. Excited about Watch Faces and WatchOS in general.
Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $168,200 and $280,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
