Ensures treatedwatermeets theWaterDistrict, County and Statewaterquality standards.Duties may include, but are not limited to:Monitor, maintain, and operateWaterTreatmentPlantprocesses and equipment.Conducts daily rounds and inspections at theWaterTreatmentPlant.Collects, inspects, tests, and evaluates incoming and outgoingwatersupplies.Receives, and stores hazardous chemicals, related to awatertreatmentplantoperation.Monitors and operates the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.Performs general cleaning and maintenance tasks at theWaterTreatmentPlant.Leads and trains lower level employees in maintenance and operation of theWaterTreatmentPlantequipment.Writes and updates equipment operation and maintenance logs, procedures and processes.Supports the City’s policies, goals and objectives and work with management and other staff to ethically achieve such goals and objectives; ensure compliance with safety procedures.Qualifications:Possession of a valid WastewaterTreatmentPlantOperator Grade 3 or Grade 4 certification.Must have a valid CDLHazwoper 40hr CertificationRespirator certificationMust possess aWaterDistribution System and aWaterTreatmentOperator Grade 3 certification from the State of ArizonaMethods, equipment, materials, tools, and standard practices for the operation and maintenance of awatertreatmentfacilitymethods ofwatersampling and laboratory testing of potablewater, including but not limited to, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfectionwatertreatmentfacility emergency procedures and safety practices in the operation of electrical and mechanical equipmentOSHAPerformance of mathematical calculations, preparation of daily logs and maintenance of system performance records; operation of a motor vehicle, power equipment, hand tools, respirators, manual and automated valves, pumps, and control systems Additional Information C & L Inspection offers a full slate of Inspection, Construction Management and Engineering personnel to the Petroleum, Natural Gas and Telecom Industries.
