You will lead initiatives to design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure and systems, driving continuous improvement and innovation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize our technology stack, minimize downtime, and enhance the overall user experience. From our trailblazing AI hiring tool to our fully automated payroll solution, every component of our Employment Operating System is carefully designed to disrupt the employment industry for the better, improving the lives of business owners and entrepreneurs everywhere. Our world-class Product and Engineering teams delivered almost 1,000 new features last year. As one of our Senior Engineers, you’ll play a vital role in the continued acceleration of our product strategy. This will include Develop and maintain multiple applications using Ruby. Analyse current systems to find areas of improvement for security, reliability and performance. Collaborate with product and architecture teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Contribute to the technical strategy of engineering. Ensure high-quality code by conducting testing and code reviews, both for yourself and your colleagues. Collaborate with highly respected Software Development Engineers in a high performing and supportive environment. Demonstrate your passion for working on highly complex and technically challenging development projects. Enhance features for our award-winning HR tech platform. Who you are To thrive at Employment Hero , you’ll need to embody The EH Way - operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring You are a highly skilled, senior-level Software Development Engineer (our Senior Engineers typically have 6+ years of experience in Software Development, but we grade based on technical expertise over years of experience). In previous roles, you’ve focused on Server-side and RESTful API Development and integration. Proficiency in Ruby programming language and Ruby frameworks such as Rails or Sinatra. You have proven experience implementing, maintaining and deploying full-stack web technologies.
