Position Overview As a Warehouse Safety Operator at AutoZone, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. Your primary focus will be on supervising the storage and retrieval of merchandise, while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Safe and Efficient Equipment Operation : Effectively maneuver industrial trucks for transporting goods within the warehouse, while ensuring safety protocols are followed and regulations are complied with. Cargo Handling and Safety : Load and unload transport vehicle cargo with utmost care and safety, to prevent damage or injury. Equipment Maintenance and Performance : Conduct daily equipment checks, lubricate machines, and charge batteries to ensure peak performance and minimize downtime. Inventory Management and Organization : Organize products in the warehouse to create an efficient system, and track inventory movements in real-time using RFID scanners to maintain precise stock records. Safety Protocols and Compliance : Ensure that safety protocols are followed and regulations are complied with at all times, to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Essential Qualifications Forklift Operation Experience : Demonstrated track record of safely and efficiently handling forklifts, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols. Communication and Interpersonal Skills : Proficient oral and written communication abilities, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Industrial Machinery Knowledge : Knowledge of industrial machinery and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to identify and report equipment issues or maintenance needs. Forklift Certification : Certification to operate a forklift is essential, with a valid certification required for this role.
