Job Description:
Assume full responsibility as the warehouse head for all equipment and products housed therein, with the primary focus on producing efficient, timely, accurate, and safe services, while upholding world-class standards for quality. Ensure safety, quality, reliability (SQR) within the plant remain consistent, in line with the Customer 1st strategy, and utilize the Kroger... Manufacturing High Performance Work System 7 core principles to achieve all strategic objectives set.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the maintenance and operation of allocated machinery and associated equipment meet the daily production targets with professionalism
Responsible for the oversight of all safety procedures, most notably the mandatory wearing of appropriate PPE
Constantly monitoring and testing products for quality ensures that manufacturers are able to identify and correct any issues before they become major problems, helping to maintain the overall quality and standard of their products
Continuous improvement initiatives should be undertaken to refine warehouse policies and procedures, ensuring that they remain relevant, viable, and practical
Demonstrate expertise in the safe and effective operation of a variety of warehouse equipment and vehicles, while also displaying proficiency in employing multiple handheld tools
Establish routine maintenance and repair procedures for the warehouse equipment
Complete safety observations
Make it a habit to tidy up your workspace regularly to promote an optimal working environment
Make sure that all safety protocols are strictly followed and all required personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn
When writing on forms or documents, it is important to use clear and legible handwriting to ensure that others can easily read and understand what is being communicated. Illegible writing can cause confusion and delays in processing
Take a break sometimes when we get bogged down or overwhelmed, taking a little time away from the task at hand can help us to come back with renewed energy and focus
Engage in Total Process Control (TPC) initiatives to enhance the quality and productivity of operations
Organize and supervise daily warehouse activities to ensure optimum productivity
Consistent attendance and preparedness for overtime work are necessary components of fulfilling the job responsibilities
To meet regulatory and company standards, it is essential to implement well-established programs, policies, and practices in food manufacturing
Complying with the Guidelines of Kroger Manufacturing's Food Safety and Quality Principles
Necessary skills for this position include the ability to work with ingredients and finished products containing food allergens
Individuals who hold this position are required to perform the critical job-related tasks, with or without accommodations
Qualifications:
MINIMUM
Basic math skills
Good communication skills facilitate the exchange of information, enable effective feedback, and build stronger relationships in personal and professional settings
DESIRED
While a high school diploma is earned through completing a traditional high school program, a GED is obtained through passing a standardized test
